北京时间1月23日，利物浦官方发布公告，宣布杰拉德将参加利物浦传奇对阵多特传奇的慈善赛。

杰拉德已确认将加入利物浦传奇，参加与多特传奇队的比赛，他将重返安菲尔德参加慈善比赛，该比赛将于3月28日下午3点(北京时间23点)开球。
杰拉德加入了一个已经包括雷纳、杜德克、韦斯特维尔德、海皮亚、奥雷里奥、格雷戈里-维尼亚尔、马丁-凯利和贝纳永的阵容。
在为利物浦效力的17个赛季中，杰拉德一共出场710次，打入186球，确立了自己作为俱乐部最具影响力和受人尊敬的人物之一的地位。
此次比赛的所有收益——由安盛保险支持并与永远的红军合作举办——将直接用于利物浦基金会和永远的红军的工作。
今年，筹集的资金将支持利物浦基金会的就业项目，帮助社区中的人们找到工作、获得资格证书并通过指导和培训发展新技能。比赛还将为基金会的长期战略贡献力量，计划到2030年每个赛季支持50万人。
